Highlights and Info:  Fall Creek Falls - FCF (.7miles, 143 feet) is a short, handicap-accessible trail to a viewing platform overlooking a beautiful waterfall.  It leaves the upper end of the parking lot and is a great hiking option for families with small kids. Fall Creek is a long and remote glacial valley that accesses several additional trails (the Left Fork of Fall Creek, Moose Lake & Surprise Valley).  The trail is not well-maintained beyond the Surprise Valley junction and begins to fade into the landscape, leaving hikers with three miles of off-trail walking to the unnamed lake at the head of the drainage.   Highlights include the slot waterfall and impressive views early in the hike, the pleasant old-growth forests and boulder gardens at the Moose Lake junction, the two waterfalls en route to the Surprise Valley junction, and the quiet solitude further out the canyon.
