Belle Trail (south):This trail is at the mouth of Slaughterhouse Canyon in Bellevue. Belle Trail runs northeast from town as it hugs the hillside to the south of Slaughterhouse Canyon road and gains just enough elevation to give users a nice perspective of the landscape they are passing through. The trail meets Slaughterhouse Canyon Road at a point that is about 2.3 miles east of Bellevue. You can make a loop by continuing across the canyon to connect with Belle Trail (North) and return to the mouth of Slaughterhouse Canyon. Access Vue 1.0 from Belle trail South.
Directions: From Main Street/Hwy 75 in Bellevue, travel east on one of the city streets (Elm Street works) to 8th Street. Follow 8th Street north to Slaughterhouse Canyon Road on the right. (Slaughterhouse Canyon Rd. and 8th St. intersect near O'Donnell Park.) Turn right/east on Slaughterhouse Canyon Road. Once you get past the park, and just past Parkside Drive, there is a small parking area on the right. It can accommodate a couple of vehicles, but it's a tight space. Belle Trail is visible from this small parking lot. Access Belle Trail (south) by traveling on nearby subdivision streets to reach the low, western end of the trail, which is near the end of Sunrise Ranch Street. Other parking options may be available at street-side locations around O'Donnell Park. There are also places to park out the canyon, but some of those locations may not have the most convenient and direct access to Belle Trail.
