Draper Preserve River Trail: The Wood River Land Trust's Draper Wood River Preserve protects 84 acres and 1/2 mile of Big Wood River frontage in Hailey. The Preserve is managed by the Wood River Land Trust.
The 0.7 mile long River Trail can be gained by either of three main access points. The Cedar Bend entrance is off of Cedar Street in South Hailey. Turn west on Cedar St. and park near the entrance on the right side of the road. The China Garden main entrance is off of Aspen Drive. Turn west on Elm Street and continue to Aspen Drive. Turn left on Aspen Drive and park at the entrance on the right side of the road. Lions Park provides access to the north end of the trail. Head west on Bullion Street to cross the bridge over the Big Wood River and immediately turn left onto the entrance road into the park.
The trail runs under cottonwood and aspen trees and is a favorite for hikers and runners craving a riverfront experience. A beautiful pedestrian bridge over the Big Wood River, the Bow Bridge, connects the east and west sides of the preserve. It also allows linkage from the preserve and surrounding Hailey neighborhoods to the Hailey Greenway, Lions Park, and to the trails and roads in Croy Canyon.
